ASK

ASK has been developed because teenagers have questions. I recently was given a small stack of papers that had questions written down on them. I read through the questions and thought “Wow. These are good.” I figured out what they were from. Some of Bethel’s youth had written down the week before at FUEL, our mid-week worship time for youth, when I was away. Some of the questions were answered on the spot by some leaders, but not all the questions were able to be answered then.

So now you’re looking at what came out of it. I am taking all of those questions, and any others that are submitted through this site from teenagers anywhere, and will give a real answer. I don’t know who wrote them, but chances are it doesn’t matter anyway because more teens are probably wondering the same things that are below.

So here’s the deal: Real teenagers ask real questions, and I sit down with my answer book (usually called The Holy Bible on most covers) and give an honest, personal, Biblically-based (because there’s nothing better to form an answer from) answer. I’m typing their questions just like they wrote them, and addressing my response to them. Please understand this: I do not know all the answers to all questions and sometimes don’t even know the best answer to every question, but I’m at least getting the ball rolling. You can, and are encouraged to, leave comments at the end of my answers to add to the discussion of the question.

So, here it goes. More questions will be posted as they are answered and received. Click on the questions you want to see answers to.

Question 1-

Why do we sing so much about God? Don’t we give Him enough credit? He may have done what He did and asks for his belief and followings but not to preach about His name in so much. I just feel we give a lot of credit to Him, that’s my opinion and please tell me why- main question!

Question 2-

When is the end?

Question 3-

Why is sex bad before marriage?

Question 4-

It is so hard to find the time to spend with God. I know if I really wanted to I’d find the time but I just don’t have the motivation…
